What this site is

dbloc.org is the private, invitation-only member site of the Dayton Bear Lake Outing Club. Everything beyond the public landing page is visible only to signed-in members.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email, and optionally a phone number.
• Content you post: news, issues, feedback, photos, and similar contributions.
• Operational records: a log of emails the site sends, and messages sent through the public contact form.
• Caretaker location (staff only): while the caretaker is clocked in, their work phone reports location so the board can coordinate property work. It is collected only between clock-in and clock-out, visible only to the board and the caretaker, and detailed location trails are automatically deleted after roughly 90 days.
• Donations:payments are processed by Stripe — card numbers go directly to Stripe and never touch the club's servers. We keep the donation record (who, how much, which initiative) for the treasurer's books.

Photos of people

The cork board, tournaments, and news are meant for celebrating club life. Post only photos you'd be glad to see on the clubhouse wall, and ask a parent before posting someone else's kids. The board can remove any photo, no questions asked.

What we don't do

No advertising, no analytics profiles sold to anyone, no sharing of member data outside the club. Cookies are used only to keep you signed in.

Where it lives

The site runs on Vercel with data stored in Neon (Postgres) and email delivered by Resend, all in the United States.

Anonymous feedback

If you submit feedback anonymously, your identity is not stored anywhere — the board cannot unmask it, by design.
